The Russian cancer vaccine is already working: the first melanoma patient is feeling well.

Doctors report: all necessary immunologically active compounds are being produced. This means the immune system has begun to recognize and attack tumor cells exactly as intended by the developers. Two more vaccinations remain according to the protocol.

What is fundamentally important:

• The vaccine is created individually — tailored to the genetic and molecular profile of each patient's tumor.
• The drug is free and has already been included in the compulsory medical insurance (OMI) system.
• This is not a "universal" vaccine, but a product of personalized medicine that previously sounded more like science fiction.

So far, this concerns the first clinical case, and it is too early to draw broad conclusions. But the very fact that a Russian development has reached a patient, passed the administration stage, and demonstrates the expected immunological response is a serious signal. It shows that personalized anti-tumor vaccines have ceased to be exclusively a foreign or laboratory story.

Medicine is slowly but steadily transitioning from "treating the disease" to "treating a specific person with their specific tumor." And this transition, judging by the first data, has already begun in Russia.
